Odoo's price has two parts. First, there's the licence you pay to Odoo. Then there's everything else: hosting, setup, and the time it takes to keep it all running well.
This guide covers both. It starts with the plans and what changed in 2026. Then it goes through the five costs that make up your real total.
The short answer (prices shown in Belgium on 5 October 2026):
- Odoo Community: free. There's no licence fee.
- One App Free: €0 for one app, with as many users as you like, on Odoo's cloud.
- Standard: from €19.90 per user per month, paid yearly.
- Custom: from €35.90 per user per month, paid yearly.
Prices change from country to country. Check yours on odoo.com/pricing.
Odoo pricing plans in 2026
Plan | Paid yearly (per user, per month) | Paid monthly (per user, per month) | What you get | Where it can run |
|---|---|---|---|---|
One App Free | €0 | €0 | One app, as many users as you like | Odoo Online only |
Standard | €19.90 (then €24.90) | €24.90 (then €31.10) | All apps | Odoo Online only |
Custom | €35.90 (then €44.90) | €44.90 (then €56.90) | All apps, plus Studio, agentic AI, more than one company, and the external API | Odoo Online, Odoo.sh or your own servers |

What "then" means: the lower price is a discount. It lasts 12 months and covers the users in your first order. After that, the normal price applies.
Who counts as a user: anyone who logs in to Odoo to create, view or change records. An employee record with no user linked to it counts too. Customers and suppliers who use the portal are free, and so are people who buy on your website.
What the plans include: hosting on Odoo Online, daily backups, upgrades, and email support from Odoo, Monday to Friday.
What they don't include: hosting on Odoo.sh, setup work, upkeep of custom code, and paid extras like SMS or bill scanning (these are bought as credits).
The Odoo price increase in 2026
Odoo announced a price increase at Odoo Experience, its yearly event in Brussels, in September 2026. It's the first price change since 2022.
- Custom: up about 20%. In Belgium it goes from €29.90 to €35.90 per user per month (first-year price, paid yearly).
- Standard: no change. It stays at €19.90.
- One App Free: still free.
- New, Light User: €7.90 per month for employees who only need a few apps, like HR. You need at least one full user.
The increase is not the same in every country. Check yours on odoo.com/pricing.
Does it affect you? Only if you're on the Custom plan. You are if you use Studio, run more than one company in one database, connect other software through the API, or run custom code on Odoo.sh or your own servers. If you're on Standard, your price didn't change.

Cost 1: the Odoo licence
Odoo Community: free
Community is the open-source edition. You can download it, use it and change it, with no fee per user. It covers the core apps: CRM, sales, invoicing, inventory, purchase, projects, website, point of sale and more.
It doesn't include Studio, some of the advanced apps, or support from Odoo. And it doesn't run on Odoo Online or Odoo.sh.
A lot of teams are choosing Community right now. If that's you, see how Odoo Community hosting works.
Odoo Enterprise: a price per user
Enterprise is the paid edition. You pay per user, each month or each year. It adds the advanced apps, Studio and support from Odoo.
The Standard plan only runs on Odoo's own cloud. To run custom code, or to host Odoo anywhere else, you need the Custom plan.
Which edition fits you?
Start from the apps you need, not from the price. If Community has them, the licence costs nothing. If you need Enterprise apps or Studio, Enterprise is worth it.
Many teams start on Community and move to Enterprise later. You don't have to decide forever on day one.
Cost 2: hosting
Odoo has to run on a server somewhere. You have five main choices. Our guide to Odoo hosting options covers each one in detail.
Option | Which licence | How you pay for hosting |
|---|---|---|
Odoo Online | Standard or Custom | Included in the licence |
Odoo.sh | Custom only | Billed by Odoo, on top of the licence |
Managed hosting | Community or Enterprise | A monthly plan from the host |
Your own server, run by a host | Community or Enterprise | Your server bill, plus a fee per project |
A VPS you run yourself | Community or Enterprise | Your server bill, plus your time |
Two things to know before you compare:
- Odoo.sh only runs Enterprise, and its hosting comes on top of the Custom plan. If you want the same way of working with Community, or with GitLab or Bitbucket, look at an Odoo.sh alternative.
- Hosts price in different ways. Some charge per worker. Others, like us, charge by server size and set the workers to match. Compare what you get, not just the number on the page.
Our own plans are on the pricing page, shown in your currency.
Self-hosted and on-premise Odoo: what it costs
Running Odoo on your own servers changes who pays for what.
- Licence: Community is free. Enterprise on your own servers needs the Custom plan.
- Servers: you buy or rent them, and you pay for the storage your backups use.
- Time: someone has to install Odoo, apply updates, watch it and test the backups.
- Know-how: Odoo has its own settings for workers and memory. When they're wrong, Odoo gets slow on busy days.
There are two ways to keep your own servers and still cut the time:
- Bring your own server: you keep the server, and we run Odoo on it.
- Odoo on-premise: your team runs Odoo inside your own network, with software that does the hard parts.
Cost 3: setup (implementation)
For most companies, setup is the biggest cost in the first year. It covers choosing and setting up the apps, moving your old data in, custom changes, links to your other tools, and training.
What makes it cost more:
- Custom changes. Standard apps cost less to set up than apps you change.
- Your old data. Clean data moves fast. Years of messy spreadsheets don't.
- How many apps at once. Two apps is a small project. Ten is a big one.
- Your team's time. When answers come slowly, the project slows down, and it costs more.
Who does the work: Odoo's own pricing page says small companies can buy fixed setup packs from Odoo, called Success Packs. Companies with more than 50 staff usually work with an Odoo partner. Very large companies can talk to Odoo directly.
Write down what you need, then ask two or three of them for a quote.
Cost 4: what you pay every year
- Upgrades. Odoo brings out a new main version every year. Plan an upgrade project every two to three years. Custom code makes it bigger.
- Upkeep of custom code. Your own modules need changes when Odoo changes.
- Support. Enterprise includes email support from Odoo. Community has none from Odoo, so many teams get it from their partner or their host.
- New users. On Enterprise, every new user adds to the monthly bill. Count the people you'll hire, not just the people you have.
- Credits. Extras like SMS or bill scanning are paid as you use them.
Cost 5: the costs most guides skip
These never show on a price page, but you still pay them.
- Your project lead's time. Someone in your company has to own the project. For a few months, it takes a real part of their week.
- A slower few weeks. People work more slowly while they learn the new system.
- Training. It's often the first thing cut from the budget. Then people use a small part of what you paid for.
- Links to other tools. Each link to your shop, bank or carrier has to be built, tested and kept working.
So what does Odoo cost in total?
Here are four common setups. Your numbers depend on your country, your users and your needs.
Setup | Licence | Setup work | Hosting |
|---|---|---|---|
Community, simple setup, your own VPS | €0 | Low | Low, but your time isn't free |
Community, set up by a partner, managed hosting | €0 | Medium | A monthly plan |
Enterprise Standard on Odoo Online | Per user | Low to medium | Included |
Enterprise Custom with custom code | Per user | High | Odoo.sh, a managed host or your own servers, plus upkeep of the code |
Where to check your numbers
- Licence: odoo.com/pricing shows the price for your country.
- Hosting: our pricing page shows our plans in your currency.
- Setup: get two or three quotes, with your needs written down. Quotes tell you more than any article can.
