BRING YOUR OWN SERVER

Your server. Your cloud.
Odoo managed by Skysize.

Run Odoo on your own machine, at your own cloud provider, in your own region, and let Skysize handle the hard part. Install one command, and our platform orchestrates deployments, staging, and CI/CD on your infrastructure. You own the server and the data. We run Odoo on it.

Community & Enterprise

By Skysize, built by former Odoo engineers. We manage Odoo in production every day; now we do it on the server of your choice.

Sovereignty & performance

Your infrastructure, your data, your region

When the server is yours, the advantages compound.

Data residency, by default

Your Odoo data lives on your server, at the provider and in the region you choose. Meet local data-residency requirements without a special plan. It's simply where your infrastructure already is. Your backups are downloadable at any time. No lock-in: you already depend on your cloud provider; this changes nothing about who holds your data.

You size the machine

No shared tenancy, no co-location on someone else's cluster. Choose the CPU, RAM, and disk your workload actually needs, and scale the box up the day you need more. Dedicated resources mean predictable performance.

Any cloud, any region

Stay with the provider you already trust, or pick the cheapest capacity in the region closest to your users. AWS, Hetzner, DigitalOcean, OVH, Scaleway, GCP, Azure, bare metal. If it runs Linux and you can SSH to it, Skysize can orchestrate Odoo on it.

The orchestration

Skysize handles deployments, staging and CI/CD

Owning the server is the easy part. Running Odoo correctly (workers, websocket, staging, backups, zero-downtime deploys) is the part that eats your evenings. That's the part we take.

01

Automated deployments

Deploy an Odoo instance to your server from the Skysize interface, with workers, websocket, longpolling, and cron configured correctly the first time. No manual odoo.conf editing.

02

Unlimited staging & dev branches

Spin up a staging or development environment whenever you need one. No per-environment fees, no limits. Test safely before anything touches production.

03

Git-based CI/CD

Connect GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket. Push a commit and Skysize builds and deploys automatically. Production and staging branches stay fully isolated.

04

Automated backups

Scheduled database and filestore backups, on your server, downloadable any time. Restore a single database in minutes, not a full-VM restore.

05

Community & Enterprise

Run Odoo Community or Enterprise: your choice, your licence. Not locked to one edition the way some platforms are.

06

One control panel for everything

Every server, every instance, every staging branch, managed from a single Skysize interface. No SSH required after install.

The model

How bring-your-own-server hosting works

Skysize runs the control panel. You run the server. A single lightweight agent connects the two, and from that moment everything you'd normally manage by hand happens through the Skysize interface.

You never hand us your server. You never leave your cloud provider. The agent lets Skysize orchestrate Odoo on the machine you already control. It runs as a dedicated unprivileged user, not root: its job is scoped to Odoo, and the rest of your server stays yours.

01 · You provision a server

Any cloud, any region, any size

AWS, Hetzner, DigitalOcean, OVH, Scaleway, your own datacentre, your choice.

02 · You install the agent

One command

SSH into the machine, paste one line, done. The agent opens an outbound connection to the Skysize control panel. Nothing inbound to configure.

03 · Skysize takes over

The orchestration

Deploy Odoo, spin up staging, push code, run CI/CD, all from the Skysize interface, running on your server. You manage the box; we manage Odoo.

One technical step

Install the agent with one command

No agents to build. No ports to open inbound. No orchestration to write. SSH into your server, run the one-line command from your dashboard, and the server appears in Skysize ready to deploy.

your-server: ssh
you@your-server:~$ sudo bash install.sh
Installing Skysize agent…
Agent connected · server now available in Skysize

If you can SSH into a server, you can run it. You'll find your personal, one-line install command in the dashboard the moment you connect a server. From there everything happens in the Skysize control panel, no command line required again.

Commercial model

Unlimited servers. Unlimited staging. Pay per project.

You pay for production projects, nothing else. Connect as many servers as you want. Create as many staging and development branches as you want. The only thing metered is the production environments you actually run.

Build and test for free across your whole infrastructure; pay only for what goes live.

A clean division

What you manage vs. what we manage

A clean division of responsibility. You own the machine; we own Odoo on it.

You manage
The server: provisioning, sizing, and keeping the VM running
Your cloud provider account and billing for the machine
Operating-system-level access and the SSH one-line install
Server uptime: if the VM crashes, you bring it back
Choosing your region and provider
Skysize manages
Odoo deployment and configuration (workers, websocket, cron)
Staging and development environments
Git-based CI/CD: builds and deploys on commit
Automated database and filestore backups
The control panel, updates, and Odoo-layer operations

If your server goes down, that's on your side. You control the machine, so you control its uptime. Everything Odoo-specific stays our job. Want us to own the server too, running on our infrastructure? That's what managed hosting is for.

Who it's for

Built for teams who want their own server without the operations work

You want your data on your own infrastructure

You have a reason to keep Odoo on your own server: data residency, an existing cloud contract, performance, or a policy that says so. You just don't want to become an Odoo hosting expert to do it. Bring your own server, and hand the orchestration to Skysize.

You host Odoo for clients

Deploy each client on their own server, in their region, on the provider they prefer, and manage every one of them from a single Skysize control panel. Unlimited servers, unlimited staging, and a 20% recurring partner commission, uncapped. Stop managing servers by hand; keep the margin.

Questions

Frequently asked

Can I use my own AWS, Hetzner, or DigitalOcean server? +
Yes. Any cloud provider, any region: AWS, Hetzner, DigitalOcean, OVH, Scaleway, GCP, Azure, or bare metal. If it runs Linux and you can SSH into it, Skysize can orchestrate Odoo on it.
How is this different from managed hosting? +
With managed hosting, Odoo runs on Skysize's own cloud infrastructure; we own the server. With bring-your-own-server, the server is yours: your provider, your region, your resources. Skysize orchestrates Odoo on it through a lightweight agent, but the machine and the data stay on your side.
What happens if my server goes down? +
The server is yours, so its uptime is your responsibility. If the machine crashes, you bring it back online. Everything Odoo-specific (deployments, staging, CI/CD, backups) stays managed by Skysize. If you'd rather we own the server and its uptime too, managed hosting is the better fit.
What access does the agent have on my server? +
As little as possible. The agent runs as a dedicated unprivileged system user, not root, with no login shell and no blanket sudo access. Its job is scoped to running Odoo: managing the Odoo containers, databases and backups on that machine. It connects outbound only (nothing on your server is exposed to the internet for Skysize's sake), and anything else on the server is simply not its business.
Do I need to be technical to set this up? +
You need to be comfortable doing one thing: SSH into a server and run a single command to install the agent. After that, everything happens in the Skysize interface, no command line required. If SSH isn't something you do, managed hosting is the zero-setup option.
Which cloud providers and regions are supported? +
All of them. You choose the provider and region when you provision the server; Skysize orchestrates Odoo wherever that server is. There is no Skysize-imposed region; your data lives where you put it.
Do you support Odoo Community and Enterprise? +
Both. Run Odoo Community or Enterprise on your server: your choice and your licence. You are not locked to a single edition.
How many staging environments and servers can I have? +
Unlimited on both. Connect as many servers as you want and create as many staging and development branches as you need. You pay only for production projects.
Is my data locked into Skysize? +
No. Your data is on your server, and your backups are downloadable at any time. You already depend on your cloud provider; Skysize orchestrates on top of infrastructure you fully control.
