Where your Odoo runs in France
Your own machine, at your own French provider, in your own region. You own the server and the data. We install one lightweight agent and run Odoo on it: deployments, staging, backups CI/CD.
Or our own infrastructure in Belgium. Nothing to provision, nothing to size, nothing to keep alive. For a French controller, the obligations are identical to a French server. No transfer mechanism, no clauses contractuelles types, no adequacy question. The CNIL treats it as it treats any other EU processor.
Souveraineté numérique, where does a Belgian server leave you?
In the same place a French one would, legally speaking.
The sovereignty conversation in France is real, but it is mostly a conversation about American hyperscalers and the extraterritorial reach of US law. That is the risk SecNumCloud was designed to address. It is not a conversation about moving data between France and Belgium, which the RGPD treats as a single legal space with no transfer to justify and no safeguard to add.
Where it does bite: public-sector tenders and some regulated sectors specify SecNumCloud or French hosting outright, and there is no arguing with a procurement document. If that is you, put Odoo on your own French server and we will run it.
For everyone else, the sovereignty question that actually matters is whether your data sits under EU law and outside US jurisdiction. On either of our two options, it does.
