The Transfer Limitation Obligation, and what local hosting avoids
Singapore's PDPA does not prohibit transferring personal data abroad. It requires you to ensure the overseas recipient is bound to a standard of protection comparable to the PDPA, which in practice means contractual terms you draft, hold and can produce if asked.
Hosting in Singapore means there is no transfer to cover.
